Motorola released further details on its forthcoming A630 mobile phone. According to its press release, the A630 includes:
- a traditional phone keypad on the outside and a separate full alphanumeric keyboard inside a sideways clamshell,
- a traditional phone display on the outside and a 176 x 220 pixel color display in landscape mode on the inside,
- a VGA camera with 4x digital zoom,
- Bluetooth wireless technology,
- tri-band GSM.
If it’s tri-band and it’s coming out on Cingular Wireless, does that mean it’s 850/1800/1900 mHz? You’re guess is as good as mine. We’ll have to wait for the detailed specs.
I assume that this phone will not use Windows Mobile 2003 because Motorola says nothing about it, but does mention J2ME capabilities. [ via PhoneScoop, photo courtesy of Motorola ]
