A couple of the other gadget-oriented blogs are reporting that Verizon Wireless is planning to release the palmOne Treo 600 for use on its network. It looks like the consensus is that an announcement from Verizon is probably going to take place soon.
The way some people talk about this handheld communicator, you would think that the Treo 600 is a museum piece. Of course, it’s one of the best integrated mobile phone and wireless Internet devices on the market today.
TreoCentral, which carried the Verizon announcement today, only recently leaked details of palmOne’s next-generation smartphone. Verizon will probably get the Treo 600 out on its network before palmOne formally announces its next smartphone, but some cynics have their doubts.
