The Connected PDA Treo 600 Moblogreported that a number of Handspring / palmOne Treo 600 have successfully improved the quality of photos taken with the embedded digital camera by reducing the amount of compression applied to each photo. According to the article, a program called Qset makes this possible.
One of the biggest complaints reported about advanced mobile phones is that embedded digital cameras take poor quality pictures. There have been relatively few reports of parametric modification of this nature to improve quality. I was surprised to read this article, and I intend to follow up with some Treo users I know to see if they have experienced the same improvement reported here.
