Samsung Releases Linux-powered Smartphone in China

LinuxDevices.com reports that Samsung has released a smartphone based on the Linux operating system in China. The new phone is called the Samsung SCH-i519 and reportedly works on the CDMA2000-based network operated by Unicom. If I’m not mistaken, this means that it could work on Verizon Wireless or Sprint PCS, if it were available in the United States. [ via Slashdot ]
